Residents of the Lahontan Lake area, surrounding area too, seem to have a battle on their hands. The odor in the area is causing a great amount of illnesses, but the tests of the facility seem to be what NDEP says is within reason.
Since I don't have all the facts, I thought I would post this so people could voice their own opinions! I know that Bango Oil is suppose to almost triple its production in gallons of oil produced.
I have been reading up on all the news articles and seen some of the documentation. I still can't figure out why they didn't have to pay the $100,000 fine imposed upon them either. Anyone have an answer for that? Did the county or state allow them to use the money as improvements instead? I'm confused here!l
I'll have more to post as I continue to educate myself on this matter!
If you have something to say, please feel free to leave a comment. I'd like to get some of the local residents thoughts. What are you doing about this ongoing battle? Have you been affected by the odor? What about the animals? Have you spoken to the legislature about concerns of public health? Is it Bango Oil? Well, let me know what you think!

ReplyDeleteBefore they even bagan operation they assured everyone that this place would be self contained and that there would be no smell, that they would be a great neighbor...Rembember the movies "Neighbors" with Dan Akroyd and John Beluccie....that's the wonderful things you can expect from Bango.....they may be "Green" but its the color you become once you get a wif of their foul odors...they even add perfume to it in order to cover it up....

Yes, what is going to happen to the lake and the river? With all the pollution, does anyone know??
ReplyDeleteWe will be producing a video to go on YOUTUBE it will have the owner of Bango OIL apologizing to residents for the odors and in fact, admitting to them by producing vials of his product, telling residents he can't market it due to the odor and then allowing residents to sniff product and identify the odor as the odor they have been smelling. Let the public decide for themselves after viewing this video.
